波士顿大学是美利坚合众国有名的私立大学之一。现任校长Robert A. Brown。
波士顿大学（Boston University）位于美国马萨诸塞州波士顿市，是一所非属宗派的私立大学。它在1839年建立于佛蒙特州时，是一所卫理公会的神学院，1847年迁移到新罕布什尔州的协和市，1867年又迁到马萨诸塞州布鲁克兰，最后由1939年至1948年间迁移至现今沿着查尔士河畔的校区。波士顿大学，历史悠久为全美第三大私立大学，计有15个学院。全校约30,000名的学生，大学部及研究所学生各半，而国际学生的比例则是居全美大学之冠。波士顿大学有学生天堂的美名，位于波士顿Boston的中心，紧临查理士河CHARLES RIVER河畔，交通十分便利。

历史
波士顿大学1965年建立了美国第一个癌症研究和教学实验室，1947年建立第一个研究公共关系的学科项目。1875年，亚历山大贝尔在波士顿大学的实验室里发明了电话。1985年，查尔斯戴里斯教授提出了后来成为人类基因工程的提议。1872年，波士顿大学是第一所向女性学生开放所有学科的大学。1873年，波士顿大学医学院是世界上第一所男女混合的医学院。1877年，波士顿大学是美国第一所授予女性为博士的大学。1955年，马丁路德金在此获得神学博士。1864年，瑞白卡李，在这里成为美国第一位获得医学学位的黑人女性。1897年，所罗门卡特福勒在这里成为美国第一位黑人精神病专家。
