剧情简介
苏格兰医生莫雷在西非新独立的小国金加夏不辞辛劳给贫民义诊，不过他只是本片配角。主角是科林．弗里尔斯饰演的英国大使馆一等秘书摩根，他酒色财气样样精通，在非洲小国工作颇有屈屈不得志之感。另一方面，摩根与总统候选人阿德康之妻奸情，被阿德康藉此威胁摩根去说服莫雷同意扩建住宅区赚取巨款。摩根疲于应付各种丑事而辞职不干，但直至他目睹大善人莫雷被阿德康的手下安排车祸撞成重伤之后，他才对政客的贪婪深切反省，终于决定揭发其中的阴谋。
